Our projects are not dry academic work but are specifically designed to help the living. Heritage sites are important sources not only of pride but of income for many local communities.

Jonah X Projects sites all focus on ancient examples of synthesis between cultures: the silk Road city of Palmyra, the artistic legacy of Lapis Lazuli, the Buddhist heritage of Afghanistan. By excavating, conserving, and promoting these wonders we help put them back on the tourist map whilst creating economic opportunity for a new generation of young men and women. For communities living in post-conflict areas there is often a sense of despair, shame, and suppressed memories. Reconnecting with a shared past fosters reconciliation across sectarian and religious divides.

By supporting Jonah X Projects, you become part of a visionary effort to transform how the world sees regions often defined by conflict, highlighting instead their remarkable cultural achievements and enduring human stories.
